Conductor Mariss Jansons has died at age 76

Mariss Ivars Georgs Jansons (14 January 1943 – 30 November 2019) was a Latvian conductor, the son of conductor Arvīds Jansons and the singer Iraida Jansone. Jansons died in the late evening of November 30, 2019, at his home in St. Petersburg after a longstanding battle with a heart condition. He was 76.
